Gore pushes for better Medicare Policy

Gore is battling away, striving for reform in our country's Medicare policy for Seniors.

The main issue being the cost and affordability of medication, and the idea that the pharmaceutical companies are charging way too much for medicines that can mean the difference between a pleasant life, and life with suffering for some.

Gore is promising to fight against these high costs and create much needed changes in the Medicare system, although many experts look towards the future with dismay, from previous attempts at reform. Although Gore is focusing on placing the powers of health back into the hands of the patients and the doctors.

Bush on the other hand is all about sweeping up the seniors and dropping them into a nice convenient HMO plan. Here the only choice available to those needing treatment of any kind is to receive treatments only approved of by the plans themselves. Or they can pay out of their own pocket and go under a private industry plan. Bush is making many promises about reform, but has yet to release any details.

. The main issue is the cost of prescription drugs. A pain killer they might give to an animal will cost $30. The same drug for a human will cost $100. Gore is pushing to combat this and create a very fair plan for all.
